One of the reasons that I love the month of June so much is that the roses begin to appear in abundance. I have seen some in gardens already, but my roses are still in tight buds, waiting to blossom, and they always bring me such joy when they do.
Hopefully, some summer weather will accompany them, and I shall be able to lounge in the garden with a good book. We have had a few nice days recently, and I have definitely made the most of it when the sun has been shining.
Here are ten books, some old and some new, which I hope to be able to escape into the garden with.
One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Music in the Dark by Sally Magnusson
Taylor Swift for Adults by Kev Nickells
A Sign of Her Own by Sarah Marsh
Elf Dog and Owl Head by M. T. Anderson
The Last Line by Stephen Ronson
Monti and Leo: A Newcomer in Pocketville by Sylvie Kantorovitz
Leeza McAuliffe Has Loads More to Say by Nicky Bond
Summer People by Julie Cohen
The Spaceman by Randy Cecil
