Upcycling means making something new out of something else, and it's a brilliant way of being kind to the planet.

Sixteen simple step-by-step upcycling craft projects for young children.
Creative Crafting is an accessible introduction to upcycling for five- to nine-year-olds. With bright engaging illustrations and easy to follow step-by-step instructions, there are sixteen fun projects that can be made from recycling and everyday items from around the house. With quick and easy makes, such as bedroom bunting from cereal boxes and juggling balls using odd socks to more complicated activities like tin can tea-lights and denim dog toys, there's something for every child.
Perfect for crafternoons, rainy days and holidays, give your recycling a new lease of life and turn it into something to treasure for ever!

Anyone who dropped by my house spontaneously would probably find me either reading or crafting. I particularly enjoy making new things from old.
This book has 16 fabulous projects to make; from a bag made from an old pillowcase to a dream catcher made from leftover knitting/crochet yarn and a box.
The book is aimed at five to nine year olds, some of which would need some adult assistance. It may be aimed at children, but there are a few of these projects I intend to have a go at myself.
I can't wait to try making the dog toy made from denim. My puppy, Roxie would love this. My granddaughter would also love the denim pocket purse which would be fun to make with her and there is only minimal sewing that she would need to do. I would also love to make the toilet roll car garage as my grandson would love to play with this when he visits Nana.
The projects are all difficulty graded using a star system. The book begins with the easiest projects and then progress through to the more difficult ones.
The book is a new release. It has been nicely illustrated, and I think children would love this book.
